Stunning. Even with the green wig, contacts, and long lashes.

Bob Marley was one wise man.
Aside from his music, just another reason why Bob Marley rules.

Alright, ladies and gents. All of last week I was seeing songs from Mike Posner’s mixtape The Layover being leaked on Facebook by the Pose himself. And yesterday, I finally got to hear for myself how CRAZY the whole thing really was.
First of all, he’s back to his hip hop roots. Hallelujah! (Don’t get me wrong, I liked the 31 Minutes to Takeoff album, but give me his hip hop songs and I’m in love.) Like the other two mixtapes, there’s a lot of heavy hitting beats, awesome lyrics (“My mommy calls me Michael, my homies call me Pose, I call hoes hoes but I never call hoes.”) and great collabs. Not to mention that he covers Elton John’s Rocket Man, Coldplay’s The Scientist, Oasis’ Wonderwall, and Adele’s Rolling in The Deep. My ears are happy. The man is talented!
He’s suggests activities you should do while listening to the songs. Haha. For example, Marauder Music is a song you should drive in the dark to while Hey Lady and Room 925 are songs you should…well, let’s say have a good time to.
Oh, and for the ones who wanted a sequel to Drug Dealer Girl from the A Matter of Time mixtape and the full version of Traveling Man from One Foot out the Door, YOU GOT IT! On Fire is definitely one intense song. That drug dealer girl is ruthless!
Also, the snippet of his first single from his second album, which happens to be called Looks Like Sex, is something to look forward to. Yes, I’ve listened to it a lot - the beat is ridiculous!
Attitudes, Blackout Remix, and Shut Up absolutely kill me. Not going to lie, I laugh every time I listen to those songs.
Download it here!

LOVE THIS PICTURE. The WeekndXO. All day, everyday.
I’m Still In Montreal…
Can I just say how awesome I think this album cover is? Simple yet beautiful.

Bought the very last copy of Essence Magazine on my way to work yesterday and glanced through it on my lunch break. These ladies are werking it!
I hereby declare this movie the BEST I have seen this year, and no, not only because the talented Ryan Gosling is in it. Saw it last night and loved it! This is one of those movies that grabs hold of you from the very start and makes you feel as if you’re a part of it.
Sure, it’s considered an action/thriller movie, it’s so much more than that. Personally, the way it’s shot gives it more of an artistic feel. The character, Driver, that Ryan plays doesn’t say a whole lot throughout the movie, but when he does speak, it’s intense. There’s a lot of emphasis on body language and facial expressions but those are some of the very few things I adored about it. Plus the soundtrack is AMAZING and fully of synthy 80s like music. Now this is what you call a real movie!
Oh yeah, and the poster is awesome too. That was the main point of this post.
Getting all deep and inretrospective while listening to Drake’s “Club Paradise.” Can’t even begin to scratch the surface on how this song makes me feel. Some lines are so close to my own life…
